Welcome to Nile Africa Technologies Ltd. (“Nile”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our platform, products, and services, including but not limited to the website builder, storefront management tools, inventory system, and digital payment processing services. By subscribing to or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. OVERVIEW
Nile is a digital infrastructure platform designed for African businesses. We offer website creation, payment integration, inventory management, order tracking, and additional business support tools. Our mission is to help African brands sell better, manage smarter, and scale faster.
2. ELIGIBILITY
To access our services, you must:
- Be 18 years or older;
- Own or manage a legitimate business entity;
- Provide accurate information during the onboarding process.
Nile reserves the right to decline or suspend services for accounts providing false or misleading information.
3. SERVICE SCOPE
Subscribers receive:
- Custom website design with hosting and domain setup
- Access to order, inventory, and customer management tools
- Invoice generation
- Integration with WhatsApp for orders
- Financial insights via a personalized dashboard
This service is provided as a subscription, paid quarterly (₦30,000 every 3 months unless otherwise agreed).
4. PAYMENT PROCESSING & SETTLEMENTS
All payments made through your website are processed via our official Paystack merchant account. Nile maintains a direct partnership with Paystack to ensure secure and reliable transactions.
4.1 Payment Flow
- Payments go through Nile’s merchant Paystack account.
- Each business provides a valid Nigerian bank account for settlements.
- Weekly payouts are made to the provided bank account.
4.2 Transaction Fees
- Paystack charges 1.5% + ₦100 per transaction (₦100 waived under ₦2,500).
- A flat transfer fee of ₦100 is deducted from your payout to cover disbursement.
- Nile does not impose additional transaction fees beyond those listed above.
4.3 Settlement Timeline
- Settlements occur once weekly.
- Settlement timing may shift due to public holidays, Paystack delays, or banking issues.
5. ACCOUNT & USAGE
5.1 User Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate business and contact information
- Use services only for legal, non-fraudulent purposes
- Respect the integrity of the Nile platform
5.2 Platform Limitations
- Webhooks and third-party gateway access are managed by Nile to ensure platform-wide consistency and security.
- Users cannot modify or override the payment architecture.
This is designed to maintain a secure and uniform customer experience for all vendors.
6. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
6.1 Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time. However, fees already paid for the active quarter are non-refundable.
6.2 Transaction Refunds
If a customer initiates a refund:
- Nile will work with you to verify the transaction and resolve the issue
- Refunds are issued from your available balance or deducted from future settlements
7. DATA PRIVACY & SECURITY
We are committed to safeguarding your business and customer data. All data is stored securely and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nile acts as a technology provider and aggregator. We do not guarantee sales, customer behavior, or external banking processes. You use our services at your own discretion and risk.
We are not responsible for:
- Missed settlements due to incorrect account information
- Losses arising from business decisions made using Nile’s analytics tools
- Disputes between businesses and their customers
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All Nile tools, content, and platform features are the intellectual property of Nile Africa Technologies Ltd. Unauthorized use, duplication, or redistribution is prohibited.
10. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
Nile reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or dashboard notification.
